Good news for the stock market are not good news for everybody. Wall Street reacts positively at each layoff.
Rolls Royce plans to cut some 5,000 jobs over the next three years and close at least one British factory (from the Sunday Times)
LONDON (Reuters) - Rolls-Royce to slash jobs worldwide - Engine maker Rolls-Royce will shed between 1,500 and 2,000 jobs worldwide next year and is already in talks to cut 140 posts in Britain, where several companies have announced job losses in recent weeks.

some people's cup is always half empty

Wall Street reacts positively at each layoff
they react positively to good earnings reports

My point is to just show that all is not lost.

Don't worry, I understand your point and I agree, all is not lost. I'm quite optimistic myself. I know my boss is not going to fire me. The economy is bad but my affiliate income is on the rise. I know also some affiliates are hurt bad and I don't like it. I see Heinz Profit Rises but Amora Dijon Mustard plants from Unilever are closing down. I know it's a good time to buy stocks but everybody can't do it.
