I just saved $1,525 per year
I made a few changes and should be saving $1,525 per year.

switched car insurance from Allstate to Geico ($50 savings x 12 months) = $600

switched home insurance from Allstate to NC Farm Bureau Insurance = $385

switched from TW RR to Sprint DSL ($10 x 12 months) = $120

switched from TW TV to Dish Network ($35 x 12 months) = $420

    $600 + $385 + $120 + $420 = $1,525 savings per year

A couple years ago, we switched from Dish Network to an antenna for local channels and a Blockbuster subscription. We save about $50 a month and we haven't missed the dish.

I have been with GEICO since 1969. In those days they spread the word via existing customers and a co-worker gave me a form. I guess everyone knows that GEICO used to stand for Government Employees Insurance Company. Super happy with them.

I can't believe you would switch to Geico; they have no respect for cavemen.

I didn't know GEICO was Government Employees Insurance Company. I've been with USAA for over 20 years. They were started by a group of military officers, and continue to only serve the military. great company.

No, our main TV is an HD TV, plus I have a neglected homebrew PVR that is HD-compatible, too. We hardly ever watch live TV. Mostly just DVDs.

Nicely done, S/B. I never hurts to investigate options and competitors. It's good to see you saved so much.

I'm about to explore WIMAX here in Baltimore - supposedly faster than either Cable or DSL - and it is cheaper than either of the other choices.

I wonder how long it will take to get WIMAX in southern AZ. I can't even get digital phone with my cable. Something about not enough bandwith. Hey Cox Communications, get in the 21st century!!!
