Does anyone use the Merchandizer feature from LINKSHARE ?
I'm starting to use it but running into trouble ..
I cant figure out categories from the merchants .. some of them are EZ .. but most arent ..
Is there a List / somewhere to find where each of the categories for the merchants are ? or a general navigation ?
( Some can be figured out using the merchants navigation, but then again alot arent )

hmmm does anyone use "Merchandiser" from Linkshare here??
Am i the only one ?! lol
So my troubles with "Merchandiser" is the following
Merchant Categories - theres no list / no guide anywhere to find this data
Other thing that seems to be happening is .. the FEED doesnt always load up on the first time ... this maybe a coding problem on my end but was wondering if anyone else that uses this has had a similar issue !

When you login to LS, near the top right of the page you'll see a icon folder with resource center label.
Click that link and you will find the guides, api and such.
Note:: that's the old interface I use.

Thanks for that post, but my problem lies with merchants categories... in the API theres a cat= ( where you put categories from the merchants in ) but theres no data on all the different cats that are available for a-z merchants in the list!
Another problem that I'm seeing is "Hold/Discontinued" Merchants that where on merchandiser products are coming up !! UGH
They come up with a X for the image / the link doesnt do anything .. but it doesnt look good for the feeds im trying to come up with !!
Anyone know if theres some option that takes out merchants from the merchandiser?

The categories in the feed is all there is. There is no guide to the merchant's categories. Many merchants have crap in their feeds in regards to categories. You just have to work with what they give you and find work arounds.

Are you using the api or the merchandiser feeds? With the merchandiser feeds you choose which merchants you get, each merchant feed comes separate.
We haven't found the api to be useful at all.

I'm using and reffering to the following:
"Merchandiser Query API"

Can't help you then, we only use the merchandiser feeds from the merchants, not the api.
Has anyone gotten anything useful out of the api from Linkshare? We found it to be pretty useless.

Using more and more of the "Merchandiser Query API"
and running into the same problem over and over
Sending the following query "nikon"
Most of the time it will return good data

And wondering if anyone else uses this API ....
