    Arena Football League Cancels Season
If there are any fans out there - http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/afl/...ory?id=3770637

Didn't realize it was 22 years old**. I just remember in the 90's it was a pretty hot ticket in Orlando, went to more than a few games back then. Haven't paid any attention since.

**Ah, no wonder. The league might have been around since 1986 but Orlando didn't get a team until 1991 - "The Orlando Predators are an Arena Football League team based in Orlando, Florida that was founded in 1991."

Bummer. I wasn't really a fan, but it gave me a dose of football when the NFL season was over and was mildly fun to watch at times. That's to bad that they are closing the season.

I found it unwatchable, A little too much scoring for me. In a way I am glad to see that something ESPN bought into has failed.

They're through - they will never have a "next" season, just like when the XFL sat out "one" season.

Somebody will resurect some sort of an alternate football league again. Maybe when the economy recovers.

Its the idea that never dies, even though the leagues keep failing.

The XFL. I knew that would fail first time I heard of it. What a joke that was.
