Which program is more reliable CJ or SAS?
I am hoping to get input from those of you who are veterans of affiliate marketing as to which is more reliable and favorable. I see most of the tests posted here at ABestWeb forums centers on either Commission Junction or ShareASale. Which do you prefer based on experience and why?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to ABW rocksngold,
First off you're in the test purchase thread, hopefully a Mod will move it to the correct area. And you will get a better reply there.
Also the search is a good feature to use at the top of the forum.

    Enjoy and stick around,

    Thanks Bob.
This is my first post at ABestWeb so I suspected it was wrong area to post.
LOL. Hopefully it will get moved so I can discover which of the two is best to join. Honestly, I am leaning towards SAS.

I prefer SaS.. Much easier to get around, more trustworthy and I like the merchants better...but thats personal opinion.

Moved to Midnight Cafe from Test Purchases. There are a lot of factors that go into choosing a network. Go to both the CJ and Shareasale forum sections and read what people have to say about both networks.

SAS gives much better affiliate support and makes it easier to get datafeeds. Of course you can find many old threads where this has been discussed in detail.

It's probably in your best interests to join both networks to get a feel on your own; reading here is extremely helpful but it never hurts to play around and explore the different features on your own to see what feels most comfortable for you.

Yeah, what she says, only twice as much

Both(CJ & SAS) seem to have their good points. I'd definitely join both and see what you like. Also for me, different networks have different programs that fit my niche websites. So, it's good to have variety/more opportunities.

    Welcome to ABW

Join both and see what works for you.

There really is no one size fits all network. Different affiliates have different needs. As far as affiliate support goes, I have been hearing some good things abou SAS. But, that is not to say anything bad about Cj either, there are many affiliates who choose them. One thing I have heard about CJ is that some people were complaining that they are picky about who they accept. I have not heard anything lately so they may have fixed that.

One more thing to consider is the availble progrms. Some prgrams are found on both networks, some are on only one or the other. It might not be a bad idea to be amember of both of them meerly to give yourself the best variety.

As Loxly said, reading is good, but experience is best.

CJ picky? Uh, no. Shareasale has more filters in place than CJ. You can sign up for CJ listing google as your website. Or no website at all.

Reading is good to get a feel for the merchants you are looking for. Do searches here and other homework before adding merchants to your sites, no matter which network they are on.

Networks are one step in the process, the actual merchants are the next step and you have to vet those pretty carefully.

I could write a book on how much that irritates the bejeesus outta me as an AM lol

I wish CJ were pickier about who they accept... I third what's been said that SaS is definitely harder to get into, but if you're a legitimate affiliate you don't really have much to worry about.

Both are good. But CJ takes the lead in Customer Support, Reporting and Tools.

SAS gets my vote! I trust Shareasale more. They are antiparasite.

I like them both plus a bit performics.

I like the CJ interface - it is the best imo. But SAS is easier to deal with and loads faster. SAS datafeeds are tidier than CJ's in most cases and easier to work with.

As many have said before just join both you can find something for you in both networks. And if a merchant is at both networks you can find the difference better. I go with SAS if a merchant is on both networks.

lol, here is a perfect example of why you need to see for yourself, I think Shareasale leads in ALL these areas Especially as a merchant. Hence why I just moved a *large* program off CJ.

There is nothing similar to the Make A Page tool at CJ and that is something lots of affiliates use.

I guess that informatin was outdated.

I agree, reading is important annd even essential, but as can be seen by the varience of opinion in this thread, when choosing a network you must ultimately try one and see what works for you.

I have an account with both CJ and SAS, and personally, I like CJ just a tad more. The interface is a little cleaner and easier to navigate IMO. Furthermore, the publishers in the CJ program seem to be pushing our products a bit harder than those in SAS and hence have been getting better sales via CJ.

However, SAS is also very good and definitely has its upsides, as many ppl here will tell you. Having said that, I will agree with the notion of joining both programs and see for yourself which one you like best.

I like some features of SAS especially return days reports, but there are many advantages promoting on CJ. (Affiliate Side, I don't know about Merchant Side)

CJ have Detailed Performance reports for individual sites. Its easy to check your PPC performance on CJ but on SAS, You can just see Sales using "Afftrack" Parameter Report, it does not show clicks. There is no way you can check performance (clicks to sales) for your individual sites.

CJ customer support is quicker than SAS. I get response from CJ within 24 hours most of the times, and sometimes in minutes, but it took SAS 5 days to reply to my question and that happened after I asked them again to reply.

I'm no fan of CJ, but If you ask me about my Favorite network. Then its AvantLink, Best Reporting, Tools, Customer Support. A++++
