Google has not liked me using my site for testing. It's been PR0 for a while. I've ignored my site for a week or so while I've been rewritting the backend. Was surprised to find a PR3 just now. Gee can't wait to see what happens when I put some thought into SEO and sales.

Sure does explain the increased traffic, looks to be up 3x what it's been normally.

Next stop for me PR6, but I still have work to do to get nice exposure for hotly contested keywords in my niche of the woods...

My site just went back up to a PR5, and my 2nd site went up to a PR5, my 3rd from a PR2 to a PR4 and my newest one went straight to a PR4.
Nice time of year to get a PR boost

We launched our Mall in October and it quickly gained a PR5; main homepage stuck at PR7. We don't worry too much about traffic from Google, but it's still nice to see.

    Thanks Linda, cdc.

Thanks Andy I know your always there to help me make more sales.

I'm going to roll out a couple of new domains based on this format first of the year. Just glad Google likes the format. I'm sure PR5+ should be easy with a little work.

I'm sure my traffic increase is do to the fact my test site is c*ntent focused or at least that what Google thinks.

    Buddha,

I think you are right in thinking you will be able to attain a PR5 fairly easily, and the content connection with your test site as it pertains to PR is a good one, (a huge key), IMHO.

Why bust your butt fighting them? Relevant c*ntent plus relevant ads equals click throughs. That's the goal right? Click throughs? Google seems to think so with its Adsense program. If the little testing I've done is even slightly accurate Google's right. Not that I'm even considering putting Adsense on any of my sites. It would be like shooting myself in the foot. I think I can target ads just as well as Google does and make more money.

    Buddha,

Well adsense aside, I will say this. While, ABW is the King of affiliate forums, JimWorld is the King of Webmaster/SERP forums, and a lot of great info can be gleaned there, including some very well informed opinions on Google's new filters/algos.

Good place to assist your pr climb, IMHO
