Lightbulb AM Navigator Presents: Forbes.com Affiliate Program
My newest client, Forbes.com, hardly requires any introduction.

With much excitement, I am bringing you a brand new Forbes.com affiliate program. Not to be confused with the Forbes Magazine affiliate program run by another agency on CJ (advertiser ID: 1415509), the affiliate program launched by AM Navigator is not a program seeking to generate magazine subscription leads. It is, in fact, a very different program, and let me explain why.

What is the Forbes.com Affiliate Program?

It is a program that consists of several, constantly updating, affiliate campaigns which promote various business and financial products (examples: Forbes.com Business Visionaries community [link], or Forbes.com Credit Center [link])

    What Commissions Are Affiliates Paid?

Forbes.com is a PPL (pay-per-lead) affiliate program. Per-lead payouts differ from one campaign to another, and you will be able to review the exact commissions prior to starting to promote any of the Forbes.com campaigns. The current per-lead payouts range from $4.00 to $15.00

    Program Highlights:

    • In-house affiliate program (Forbes-hosted software, payments handled by AM Navigator)
    • Cookies: never expire
    • Commission: varies from campaign to campaign
    • Anti-parasite policy
    • Dedicated affiliate program manager (myself)

There are several campaigns already in place (some expire at the end of 2008, one lasts through 01/11/09), and new ones will be added as we move into 2009.

I would like to hereby invite you to:

    >>>>>>> Join the Forbes.com Affiliate Program today

Looking forward to promoting many Forbes products and services together with you all!!

Thank you and very much looking forward to your sign-up, net4biz. Sounds like your webpages and this affiliate program will make a perfect match.

Just went through 5 different affiliate links and haven't seen it. I will, nevertheless, e-mail Forbes about it.

I didn't go through an affiliate link - just put the target url directly in.

Gotcha. Notified Forbes of it already.

I replied to that message of yours 22 mins ago. The "Hacker Steal Your Identity?" ProtectMyID.com's banner is not a leak. If you fill out your name, and hit "Continue" you will also go to www. protectmyid. com which does track the Forbes affiliate leads.

You didn't have to do it. It was somewhat harsh, but you had a point there. I do appreciate you posting about that splash screen ad popping up on you, VampireSkunk. Forbes.com is taking their affiliate program seriously, and they have responded back to me re this within minutes. The higher management has ordered for the Ops team to implement the .js change a.s.a.p., and as soon as this is completed I will post about it in this thread. Thank gain for spotting it, VS.

Leads are already rolling in across all 3 of the campaigns! Thank you, folks!!

There is still plenty of room for more affiliates to join.

    Geno,

I signed up and was approved, yet everytime I upload a banner, the only thing that appears is a little blue dot in the upper right hand corner.

I couldn't figure out why? But, I am sure you will fix it.

On the other hand, that deal with using facebook is one ingenious
marketing tool. Should be worth a huge pile of $4 leads in my pocket
as soon as I can get the links to work.

@ Chris, @ KGP: thank you very much for your congratulations. I am very excited!!

K., grats on that 500th post too! That's a milestone.

@ net4biz: that Facebook campaign is in the "paused" mode (you can see it by viewing the list of all current campaigns in "Promotions" > "Campaigns"). That is more than likely the reason you're having a problem with this one. If, however, anyone believes they can send sign-ups (mainly small business people) to a business group at Facebook, please e-mail me at affiliates @ forbes [dot] net a.s.a.p. I want to talk to you about it.

    Thanks,

    Geno

    Geno,

I got the visionaries thing to work ... seems to be okay so far.

Question: What do we get on the second tier if we refer affiliates.

There is no 2nd tier at the time. We are still contemplating whether to have one, or not. At this time, we are just paying the maximum commission on the first tier, and have the second one closed.

Also, I got your e-mail, net4biz. Will reply to you in a second.

Nice going, Geno! Looks like you do know how to catch the big fish after all.

I have signed up and look forward to getting you some leads. (Hopefully some quick ones too since some of the deals expire soon.) Looks to be some good products though. With the Forbes name behind it they should be an easy sell.

Hey Geno, congratulations young man. I'm sure you are excited about being aligned with the Forbes brand. When do you take over the Berkshire Hathaway empire? Good luck to you with your new venture Geno. I'm sure you will work hard to make it go.

IMPORTANT: Upon declining an affiliate, I have decided to add a new mandatory field to the Forbes.com affiliate application - "Briefly describe your marketing plan for the Forbes.com affiliate program."

Please make sure your brief description is well thought through. This will hep us* evaluate your affiliate application better and quicker.

    Geno
