    What happened to ebay?
I have been purchasing items on ebay for 3 years and today i got this pop up.

    Attention Buyer

To ensure that eBay remains a safe marketplace, we limit the amount of items that can be bought or sold by a single account at one time.
You can increase the activity limits on your account by taking the following action:

    Verify using a Credit Card
Process is immediate and your card will not be charged.

Note: Some users may need to wait a few minutes for our systems to update before they can bid again. Thank you for your patience.

Has anyone had this...I am reluctant to give Ebay my credit card since payment is usually through paypal, and ebay and paypal are sister companies.
Is this real or scam....feedback needed please.

eBay has had buyer limits for several years now -

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/limits-on-buyers.html

I would make sure the pop up URL was indeed from eBay, tho - just to be safe.

I have been purchasing on and off from one ebay account for 3 years now.....
Maybe though I am buying more now than then..... my 2 year old is now wearing 5t clothing. So it is cost effective for me to purchase w/ebay for her tremendous growth.. just thought it is odd for them to want a credit card when I have 300+ positive feedback.

    Hi Jody,

Just make sure that you don't go to Ebay through the link in the email. If the message truly came from Ebay, you will get the same message when you login to your account. If it's there, you will know it's actually from Ebay.

eBay doesn't normally call you "buyer". They usually use your eBay username. I've never heard of eBay verifying a credit card. PayPal would do that.
