January 9th, 2009, 04:24 PM #1Am I that Good?
I have always prided myself on my humbleness ahheeem. But today I received this....from google.......
While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers. Since keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage our advertisers in the future, we've decided to disable your account. Please understand that we consider this a necessary step to protect the interests of both our advertisers and our other AdSense publishers. We realize the inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions about your account or the actions we've taken, please do not reply to this email. You can find more information by visiting url removed....
I was too flattered to get pissed!

No "we'd like to work with you to strike some kind of a happy balance", no nothing, huh?
I'm surprised that they can do that. Or that they care...as long as they are making money, why do they care that you are making money?

It really doesn't hurt my feelings I didn't even have them posted on my site... lol just a search bar on the bottom which why in anyones right mind search there when you have a search bar at the top of your own system?
funny thing is i use ppc and ran in top two for my niche......lolWear Short Sleeves!!! Support the right to bare arms!

Geez jody what did you do to pose such a "significant risk"?? I've heard of Adsense asking questions if your CTR's are too high but straightup disabling your account without explanation...what's up with that?

Wondering ,, was your sit being hit with alot of spam bots?
or like auto hit generators?
Do you have access to your raw web log files ?
Do you see anything weirdo in the log files?
Just imagine, someone going to your site and click on the adwords ads thousands of times ,, over and over ...

LOL I don't know in the 7 months of having google, i made .47 2 searches.... I think what has happened is the site in question is a payday loan site that features payday loan lenders that
A. are fee free
B. don't run credit, employment or reference checks blah blah blah.....
So if I had google up and running why would my customers want to get $1500/1 hour with a million dollars in fees when I find and update regularly less predetory lending possibilities for customers.
No spam bots.... or anything out of line, usually my site is a link and about 3 paragraphs of the good and the bad out of each lender and requirements for each of them so people just don't go entering their personal information into a site and be declined because they didn't qualify and now they have to worry because some strange company has there whole life story and who knows. I also allow people to contact me with bad experiences so that loan sites that say one thing and do the exact opposite can be removed.Wear Short Sleeves!!! Support the right to bare arms!

Also let me point out that my site has dramatically changed in taste. When I signed up for that google thing I was promoting payday loan lenders that were awsome for me for the money I made but paralyzing for my customers and by that I mean with the outrageous fees imposed making a horrible cycle of living off of payday loans. To having fee free lenders which there are! And other lenders with super super low fees with easy acceptance. So google advised that my site will have a negative financial impact on their advertisers and publisher which is true. Even though I am a advertiser on Google which makes me giggle a bit. the key phrase is "Negative Financial" because I offer these types of services
Edit: I hope to start a trend and maybe my site is disabling these other advertisers and companies. Am I a big threat to the payday loan industry, I hope so and the companies I promote will prosper lol. I plan on ruling the world soon...lolWear Short Sleeves!!! Support the right to bare arms!

How is this an effort to protect "other publishers"?

Goofle did the same to me ... but they did pay what was owed. No explanation, no hey can you change this or that ... kind of silly but oh well, they only pay 40% of the click ... so they lost out other 60% ... which if you amortize the size of my last check meant they lost revenue of $300 Large.
Could be the reason, Goofle stock is down over 50% from the high. Earth to Serge ... it ain't your money until some one clicks on the link. And they ain't going to do that if you blow out affiliates. And even worse, you may be blowing out a stock holder.
But hey, it never probably occurred to Czar Serge that an affiliate might own stock ... and that if he blew them out of the Adsense game, they would get
pissed off and sell the Goofle stock they own.
Truly a Homer Simpson moment.

They ban you from AdSense but I bet you could still pay them to participate in AdWords.
Have a quick look over the AdSense TOS and see if there is any thing that sticks out.
I've heard of them banning people before because of auto hit generator schemes. That's a load of B.S. That means I could get my competitor banned if I sight him up for and participating him in an auto hit gen, and vise versa

i'd put money on your sending traffic to the domain with adsense running via adwords. to many sites have already played this game or arbitrage in an effort to take a mostly adsense site and convert the adwords traffic at a higher click rate...trading pennies for dimes
a no go for google or advertisers using "content" delivery
not sure how a rejection letter flattered you, but i'm glad your still smiling

I too am at a loss to explain it. Yet it is hard to believe Google would single you out for such an "honor" with no reason whatsoever. If I were in your shoes I would go to the source and asked them what specifically caused them to send that notice to you. Not so much because it is hurting you inn the pocketbook at the moment but because if there is some fundamental problem you should want to understand what it is. After all that is why you shared that with us here n'est-ce pas?Buzzy Multimedia Publishing Affiliate Program--SAS Sign-Up

I agree with mrbshouse, you are playing the Arbitrage game and you got caught. Google had put an end to that game a year or so ago.
Check these search results for more info:

Listen to all those who think because I got a letter so I must be doing something wrong. I have made a site, put some content on it, did some research on it applied for the adsense thing it didn't go well with my content so I took it off. Looked tacky!
This is one of literally 13 sites I own. The traffic is via advertising, which i guess your saying is a big no no, I will stand on a bridge with a big banner then since I am not allowed to use ppc for advertising D?A. . I didn't manipulate any system and get caught, I think your paranoid. And as far as going to the source to find a answer, it is sent from no reply at google. and the link they gave me goes to the FAQ page which has no resemblence to the letter and the google forum is as useless as Digital Point bunch of idiots. No answer so I will continue to think my site rocks until Google can give me a direct answer as to why my site would be a negative impact on its advertisers which I am a advertiser. And as far as arbitrage i read the wikipedia and I didn't get it. And that may just be me now as i am gearing up for round one of Chemo. starting tomorrow. So this thread was started to see if ANYONE Had received this letter because I have never seen it or heard of such a thing. But the whole picture on google is I could barely give a Flying Fuk what they think or the impact on their advertisers is a negative financial one good more customers for me! Now off to rent Horton Hears a who. My daughter saw a commercial on another movie and has been saying hoton who who plzzz mommy.

This was the paragraph, which I think if you got, seriously wouldn't you think WOW..... my little site which I made myself that is made of my own writing and few links could damage FINANCIALLY the other advertisers. I must be onto something here. This is googles way of wiping out competition, which it doesn't because I pay for my PPC via adwords which is not being sneeky it is a good way to advertise. My traffic comes from clicks from people who searched Via Google or AOL or Yahoo OR what ever means that I PAID FOR. Which I in no way think is bad. I could always buy emails and poof spam the world but I don't email people I pay for adspace and use it to my benefit as a company. Which is how you do it too right? No game besides the I will outrank you I will bid more than you and I am always on first page when I run my campaigns because isn't that the goal? Get more customers, keep the customers. Maintain my spot in advertising. In fact I have ads running in newspapers too, which I just did yesterday, seeing that the economy is down and because I live in a wonderful country that lets me buy ad space for a tax paying business, who wants to play by the books.
Next it will be buying radio ads. Not for the lending side of course but for my other sites, is that wrong no if I have the money or know the people it is ok. Don't get mad because I can and Will get creative with my advertising.

jodyq, while your positive attitude is refreshing... you are borderline delusional here. You got the letter because you WERE doing something wrong according to google so they kicked you out. Thousands and thousands of people got the same letter for the same thing.
It has nothing to do with being good or being big. Simply, it looks like their automated system caught you working an Arbitrage game on your site and booted you out. It has little if anything to do with volume, merely the rules. If you want to use their system, you need to play by their rules, they said you weren't playing by their rules.
If you have other sites that have not been kicked out, or other accounts, you should look closely at this so those also are not penalized.

Delusional? What did I do wrong, I have a clean site, no porn no adult material only promote payday lenders with no fees, in the letter which was copied and pasted it said nothing of me doing wrong. Learn to read then insult. got it. And what the F**k is the arbitrage game? Anyone in English?
It didn't state that in the letter, just somebody said the word and poof that is it. Someone who has never seen my site, because I keep my sites to myself (until they are perfect) LOL.
You need to really mind your business not say I was playing some kind of game Because I don't play any games when It comes to my work. Please close this thread before I get Banned and chetf you have been ignored.Wear Short Sleeves!!! Support the right to bare arms!
