January 27th, 2009, 10:47 AM #1What products/programs go best with podcast traffic?
A friend of mine is a partner in Podcast.com and VideoCast.com. He has asked me how he can do a better job monetizing his traffic. Right now he's just using AdSense.
I'm not a podcast consumer, so I'm having a hard time thinking of products (and programs) that he should consider. Do you have any ideas what he should promote on his pages?

Audio and Video Equipment, software, hosting, computer equipment... those are a few I can think of off the top of my head. Do they host pocasts etc? If so then they want to promote things related to the topics of the podcasts.Deborah Carney

They are an aggregator of pod and videocasts.
Thx Lox. Good suggestions so far.

I second the targeted ads to whatever the topic is. If they can do a good job of suiting the ad to the content of that podcast on it's landing page, that will open open up a much wider range of products. For some reason the example in my head is that, if they host a Harry Potter podcast (of which there are a few), they can serve ads for toys and books, which wouldn't necessarily go in line with the general topic of podcasting. Just a thought.
