    itunes impression credit with datafeed
    I have built applications that use an affiliate [itunes] datafeed which publishes the top iTunes to various pages on my site. the problem-- I am not getting credit for the impressions. I am using a graphic-- the graphic for the itune itself but the feed did not provide the 1x1 graphic.

    Should I be getting impression credit with the itune graphic?

    You need the tracking pixel to see impressions. I would just use one from another creative but that would skew your stats. You might what to contact the merchant and get them to provide you with a tracking pixel. You could code it to show with each feed entry.

    I have noticed several providers of datafeeds-- omit the 1x1 impression image. Does anyone know if this is standard?

    Standard? That would be nice... I have only worked with a handful of feeds but I have never seen one with a tracking pixel field. I suspect that the common thought that merchants have is that if you are able to code a data driven site then you can easily build a click tracking system to match. The tracking pixels are not necessary to show a commission so I don't worry about it much...

    Thanks again C..Dave. Linkshare provided the details on how to add the tracking pixel so I was able to add it for one of my feeds. My visit stats are not tracking, the reason I want another authority on visitors and ad impressions.
