    Question Dynamic URLs vs. static URLs
    Greetings all,

    Can someone with alot of SEO experience comment on Dynamic URLS vs static urls?

    Right now I have tons of dynamic generated URLs, and thinking of investing alot of time doing URL rewrites, but im not totaly sure if i should do it .. from a blog article that google webmaster central ...

    Anyone have some good intel to share that maybe help me from going crazy doing rewrites ?

    I perefer static looking urls, it give me a chance to make the url more relevant to possible keyword searches

    and there are a lot of existing url rewriting componenets that can make it fairly easy to implement

    So in your experience, best practise for dynamic content is still doing rewrites ? even though google blog says it doesnt really matter and that it may even hurt?!

    It might hurt you if you don't plan your URL structure carefully. If you look at the examples in the article they are quite silly.
    Why would you include the sessionid? ROFL

    in my experience it's never really hurt anything, just plan it out

    Also, I include as little in the url as necessary to figure out the right page and then the rest of the url is content, I include for my product sites, the product title and product category

    I don't use subdomains for SEO purposes, but rather detailed URLs

    if you check out the product pages at honey bean coffee you can see what I usually do

    Switch around Honey Bean Coffee with the product names

    Have the Product Names First followed by Honey Bean Coffee

    That domain name is honey bean .. ur gonna rank well for that no need to have it in the title .. dont ya think??
