    Google Search Warning Error
Admin Note: Thread renamed and moved, original post removed as it's not network specific, but a G error issue

The edit was also at the OP's request and for clarity of issue.

    That's true.
It's everywhere, all Google searches are infested by This site may harm your computer.
Can a mod erase this thread.
The problem is not with Shareasale but Google.

The God of Google is not a happy camper about people who are partnered up with the tool bar and parasite crowd ... they are losing some WAY BEYOND CHUMP CHANGE MONEY from advertisers who are getting their PPC ads hijacked by the cookie and toolbar theives.

It seems that this little 'warning' packs a knockout punch to anyone of the SEO listings that show up ... DUH! If Google is warning you ... it must be real right?

Well maybe but most people will believe it to be true. This Google Slap is long overdue.

Now I am not a big fan of the Google God, but in this case he or she or it gets some serious props.

    Here's an article about it.
    http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;1410948794

    It sure is strange...

If you go to google.com and search for google, check the results. It says google.com may be harmful to your computer. I snagged a screenshot of that.

Why isn't the internet and the news abuzz about this? Google rules the world! No word from Google that I can see.. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/

For once Google is telling the truth. Most of the stuff listed there can harm your computer ... it's a FACT.

I'm seeing the same warning on one of my sites. There's nothing on it that could harm anyone, unless of course they laughed too hard and got a hernia. When I click the warning link I get this page:

    Server Error

The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.

It happened in the last hour ?

My guess is that someone at Google made a mistake (the security flagging is to strict)...

Hey, a congressman sends an innocent text message to a page about a sleepover and it's on in 10 seconds.

That article I linked to was from 2007? Does Australia use mm/dd/yy or dd/mm/yy? Could be Jan 12 or Dec 1 2007. Is that right?

It appears that the warning message only occurs with google.com searches. I checked google.es, google.fr, google.ca and google.it and saw no warning messages on them.

Thanks Haiko for renaming the thread.
What I did was wrong but symptomatic of a lack of trust. A few days ago, I would have been said no, not them. Let's check further. But after reading the blog a few times, I became suspicious of everything.

Just checked my Google Webmaster Tools...all my sites say:
This site may be distributing malware. Google users will see a warning page when they attempt to visit pages within this site. You can visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for your site for detailed information about the problems we found.

I had no time to check that. I wanted to do it. It's going to be a nightmare.
Who said Google never does stupid things?

Between Christmas and New Year eve they added a tool in the Webmaster space to check robots.txt. Same things. I had errors everywhere. My sites and robots.txt were fine. Not their tool.

I wonder if Google actually made a ton of cash from this.

Imagine a less SE savvy person looking to buy something and having all the results listed as "harmful", well, all except the PPC results ChaChing!

I have not noticed an increase in the tiny PPC campaign I run. Did any of you?

i read on cnn something about video ads from google delivering a bit extra, but when i searched for it on cnn today nothing came up (powered by google) hmmmm

anyway this may not be 100% on target for the thread but worth sharing found on msn ;-) "Advertisements placed by Google in Web pages are being hijacked by so-called trojan software...."
