Where do I post the dumb questions
    I'm new. (sorry)

I'm wondering if anyone knows the origin of a link that begins with www.******.net/click-#######-########

I would really appreciate any help you can give because I'd like to know where that link originated.

    Thank you,
    Shari

First to note is that the url you posted is incorrect, it leads to a parked domain.

Thank you Seymour and Burger Boy. I have recently begun managing a merchant account on CJ and sent out a new promo code yesterday. I am trying so hard to learn how this all works. In the CJ dashboard it shows only a few publishers using the link ID but when I was reading the forums here about Coupon theft I thought I would google the promo code I sent out yesterday. In so doing, I came across many references to the promo code by people who seemed not to be our affiliates. I searched for them in CJ and couldn't find them. So, I looked at the link that was directed from the code they posted and that's why I was curious as to where that link came from. I'm one of those people that likes to know how everything works. It helps me to understand the whole process from both sides.

So, I guess they must be our affiliates but I can't find them in the dashboard. I have a lot to learn. Thank you for your quick responses and help.

    click-#######-########

Look at that part for the publishers PID, which you can search on in the CJ interface. Their PID is the first set of numbers. Also am going to edit your opening post because CJ doesn't like their link domains published on forums.
