One of my sites is down. There is a hacker contest underway this weekend. 13 NASA web sites have been defaced and many large servers worldwide have been hit. So far, only one of my five sites have been affected.

If you go google with "I hate admin donkey", it finds 1 site with the same text at the moment.

"The report said it was probable that the attackers gained access through a vulnerability in a PHP script and then used the local root exploit in the 2.4.22 version of the Linux kernel to gain administrative privileges."

    1. Check you PHP scripts are not vunerable.

    2. Make sure your server isn't running 2.4.22 (although it's only a danger if someone can actually log onto your server or get access via another hole - like the PHP one).
