Question First Video. How Did I Do?
I've shot a first video for my blog (will add it together with a text post later on today). You may find it on YouTube.

    How did I do?

Feel free to let me know what could be improved. It seems the sound could use some work.

    Great job, Geno,
You know what's missing... branding for your company. Think of a sign behind you or somewhere.

Yes, I need to put together a graphic for an intro.

    Thank you, Zeus.

Excellent job, very informative. I was going to suggest putting a picture on the wall behind you (it is all about decor). But Zeus, I think had a better idea with the branding. Really, I thought the video was clear and the audio seemed okay to me. Perhaps a little low but that could just be my speakers.

I'm a big fan of video on blogs, so for me this is a natural fit for yours. One suggestion I will make is that if you plan on turning this in to a blog post, even though it seems like duplicate work, you may want to include a transcript of the video in the blog post as well. There are folks out there who would rather read than watch the video.

    Nice work, Geno!

In your video editing software you can just add text to the video with your webite dotcom or such. Depends on what video editing software you are using.

Maybe I should do both? I have this beautiful oil painting of a ship navigating through a storm... Oh, wait! I've left it on the wall of my study in St. Petersburg, Russia! Oh, well... I'll think something up.

Thank you, Eric. I won't do a transcript, but will definitely provide an easy-to-follow text that outlines what I've been speaking about.

Ok. I'll have to play around with it. Just need to find the time...

Yes, it is my office. The walls are painted in the marine colors like my company's website (wife's idea).

    Geno,

Fantastic concise content but it lacked any intro..." I'm Geno from.....". Then a brief overview...."today I'm going to discuss...."

Something I learned from instructors school:
    --Intro yourself (intro)
--Tell them what you are about to teach them (overview)
    --Teach them (content)
--Tell them what you taught them (review)

Audio was great, you have a nice clear pleasant speaking voice and very good diction. Didn't notice any distracting "and uh" 's. Nice slight change in volume on key points.
Nice natural hand gestures. Just for fun..rehearse one of your talks while sitting on your hands...it'll drive you crazy.

Keep up the good work!! You're a natural!!

I agree about branding/intro/CTA. Speaking of link - you probably want to put it in the beginning of the description so it is easier to notice and one can see full url (esp. if it has good meaningful words in it).

I'll give you one idea that popped into my mind - you have Affiliate management book - well, why not to make it into video DVD. With little practice in making videos you could have an amazing training course on DVD.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

I guess I don't understand why this information was delivered as a video. Video can bring many things to a discussion, it can be charts, moving graphics, examples of how to do something, etc. etc. I didn't see any of that (admittedly I skipped around).

But someone just staring at the camera talking staight at it is too youtubegirl for me. I would never be able to sit through one of these.
