Largest obligations for medical care of civil servants for current and future retirees (in billions):
New York City: $59.5
New Jersey: $50.7
New York state: $41.4

NY has a big problem here. Can they realistically tax their residents more than they already are? I don't live in NY, but my friends that do are already getting taxed to death, especially in NYC.

If the think the state obligations for medical care is bad, you should see the unfunded liabilities for Medicare and Social Security.

The fed govt. will simply borrow, print, and spend money to bail them out. Seems to be the accepted way to 'solve' economic problems now.
