Nope, but the wife & I have already made a "date" to see it Dec. 30.

We do have a ROTK special section on our site, though - HERE

I can't wait to see it either. The first two were immediately placed near the top of my all time favorites list. Pulp Fiction still holds the top spot but LOTR I & II are # 3 & 2 respectively.

I'll probably wait until this weekend to see it even though the anticipation may kill me. I'm just way to busy to go during the week.

I'm there too. Would have gone today if I hadn't had a meeting at work. Darn work. Interfering with my personal life.

Did you guys read the books? I didn't and thought the first one was one of the most painfully boring movies I've ever seen. We're talking excruciatingly painful.

All it seemed to be was a battle scene then walking then another battle then more walking and so on and on and on ... and on ... and on ... and on ......... and on. Nothing ever happened except more battles and more walking.

You couldn't pay me $1,000 to sit through another one. You could however pay me $1,000 not to.

Down in Ozzieland we have to wait till after Christmas (26dec) before we get to see it...

do tell all (not that we don't already know the story...but there are bits that Jackson's included that weren't in the books eg the elves were NEVER at Helms Deep).

You think YOUR happy , besides selling TRAILER LOADS of the LOTR swords this month , I can't wait to see movie. Read books back in 1968 , liked the animated movies ok , but these are A+. Just hate waiting a year between movies. Like to see whole thing at once.

    Happy Holidays,

DVD for me. Can't sit in a theater with:

    1. Kids continuosly kicking the back of my chair
    2. No pause button for food, beverage and washroom breaks
    3. Sticky floor
    4. Tall person sitting in front of my with big hair
    5. Prices of popcorn and pop costing $20 for 2
    6. Crowds, crowds crowds.

Can't wait till it comes out on DVD. On the other hand, it might give me a chance to see Timeline since the theater will be empty (no crowds, yeah!).

Just got back....awesome.....might go again tomorrow....if you haven't read the books beforehand, then most of the movie(s) will probably be lost to you.

    Ian,
Can't do much about the pause button but I hit the Famous Players Coquitlam, Surrey or Langley theaters for their matinees.
As long as schools not out I get half price tickets, the theater is still clean, usually only a handful of people scattered so far in the empty theater that you forget they are even there.
Haven't watched a movie after 6 pm in I can't remember how long.

Oh wait ... I pretty much do this full time and don't have a real job

Love it more with at least one more 0 at the end of my cheques but ... thats coming soon

Just bought tickets for myself and kids for a show tomorrow afternoon - can't wait.

Funny, after seeing the first movie, I turned around and read all three rings books, The Silmarillion, and Unfinished tales.

Also, my friend saw the movies, and doesn't particlarily like that kind of film, and has not read any of the books - he was blown away. I have read many reviews, where the reviewer had high expectations, and was stunned. Most people seem to think the 200 Minutes go by pretty fast (if you can believe that).

I guess there will always be a few people that just won't get it though - no matter how its presented.
