Hope someone can help me. Everytime I try to upload files to my server, either via Dreamweaver or WSFTPpro, it stops after 2-3 files. Just hangs there for a couple of minutes and I get this message: ! Receive error: Blocking call cancelled

Now, I did try sending to a different server and the same thing happened so it is not the server that is the issue.

I've tried this on both my wireless laptop and my wired desktop and always the same thing. I tried the laptop at a different internet connection source and it worked just fine. It is only at home that I have the problem. I connect via a cable modem.

Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

Try switching Passive Mode on or off.

Had a similar problem recently..it was caused by the cable company. Sorry I can't be more technical about it than that ;-)

Took them about an hour to clear it up after a call to their support.

    Buddah,

I owe you a virtual drink in the chat room bar!!!

Seems to work fine now by changing the passive mode. I've ftp'd files for years and never had to use that setting. Wonder why it is required now?

    Anyway, THANKS!!!!

    Your welcome,

Your on cable you've just got some latency in your local area. Bet it goes away as soon as the kids go back to school.
