    A Spider Bite?
Well so this is new, I was bit by a spider, now the spider bite has a 5 inch rash around it, and the middle is a nice shade of light blue with a big bump around it. It itches as all bites do. What the heck kind of spider does this? Any clues out there???? Assume the bite was not long ago, 3 to 4 hours?
    Help!!!

That does not sound good. Check out these sites:

You should probably go to the ER - the blue coloring is indicative of a bite from the brown recluse spider.

I had a spider bite that was a lot like what you're describing. Fortunately it was not an especially venomous spider, just a somewhat venomous spider, as I'm still alive. However -- I did go to the doctor to have it checked out. It took a couple of weeks for the swelling to go away entirely and about a month before the skin returned to its normal color right where the spider bit me.

Best to go to the emergency room and have them take a look tonight. Not a good idea to go to sleep tonight without having that bite looked at by a professional.

going to urgent care now. thats crummy I was cleaning my attic earlier today. Thanks for the links and such I have a fear of spiders and if I would have seen a spider like that I would have fainted. And I am calling a exterminator tomorrow. If I am not in the hospital getting treatments or my leg chopped off or am dead....

Spider bites should be taken seriously. Some can get very nasty.

Again, not to alarm, but if it turns "blacker", or the dark center expands, get your butt back in there.

    Thanks for checking in.

Oh i will go in if it gets worse it is sore now and feels like someone beat up my lower leg. But what can you do, the rash is gone, sometimes I feel as though the urgent care doctors don't really want to be there, I would gladly trade them places.
