Brutal. They have been hurting ever since Netflix started gaining on them and I think a lot of people have a bad taste ion their mouth on Blockbuster over late fee experiences. Netflix's arrival was a game changer and they continue to be ahead of the curve...

    Nothing against Blockbuster.

I think RedBox will put them out of business.
For $1, you can get the latest DVD that is just released.. Have been loving it and there isn't a contract like netflix. @$1, it's 60-80% cheaper than blockbuster.

I am not sure how netflix is doing as a whole but they need to be in the vidoe on demand game to evolve with the industry + offer it at a low rate

We watch movies from NetFlix on the computer all the time - they also have a box, like "Popcorn" that allows you to view NetFlix movies on your TV.

Unfortunate that Blockbuster may be hurting to the point of having to file for protection - I haven't been in one in years - not since the whole late fee debacle. I prefer NetFlix.

Blockbuster's refusal to carry NC17 versions of films (and not note on the box that they are only offering the watered down version) also didn't help.

I watch netflix on my xbox 360 all the time. I would guess that they are easily the leader in streaming movies right now based on popularity of devices they are available on.
