Is there a generic thought? I keep hearing this term (or reading about it ) over and over and wonder what the common thought is on definition.

It varies depending on who you ask, but I think the most common definition is an affiliate that earns a total of at least $10,000 per month in commissions.

All the affiliates on ABW are Super, ergo .. they all are super affiliates

$10K a month is my understanding as well.

    Me too.

    And Wayne said

I'll go with $10k overall BUT these are the people that you can introduce to any product or service and they will be in your top 10 in a matter of weeks.

They are also very quite and don't own birds

Yes, I think 10K is the official answer. I have a looser description though and consider anyone who is a pro, who is doing this full-time, and who is very committed - a super affiliate. 2k earners have the potential to be 5K earners and then can grow into 10K earners so I don't discriminate. You are all super in my book!

Psst, I own six parrots. Oh, and some months I'm a super affiliate and some months I'm not. I guess I'm semi-super. The first six months of 2003, I was super-duper - then Dominic, then Florida, now I'm just a good affiliate working my way back up to being super.

A super affiliate for a merchant would be the few top affiliates who bring in 90% of their total sales.

Well yeah, I do that too, but I didn't want to be the first to admit it.

I always thought it was those few people doing half a million a month (ie. the search engines and other big boys), until I came here.

I think those are often people who don't even bother posting. They're off doing their own thing. I know some of the extreme super affiliates and I've never seen them post here. Although, there are obviously some people posting here who are way beyond 10k/month.

I remember when $5k was considered a super affiliate. I had hit that for about 1 month, when some *&^*^ raised the bar and made it $10k!

    I suppose next year it'll be $20k...

There is more to being a super affiliate than earning over $10,000 per month

    To me,
affiliates doing 40K+ a month are doing very good.

    "Affiliate King / Queen " ==> 80K+ a month

    exclude the comapnies ??

Cash is exactly what makes a super affiliate. The drive for more money creates the time and dedication required to make it all work. If you think its something sweet and sassy you are so very very wrong!

For more money I will work like a dog and hire additional staff.

For more money I will call and develop additional ways to sell your product.

    For more money...

I do not consider myself a super affiliate, even though I earn over $10,000 per month.

So there is more to being a super affiliate than the money
