I usually purchase my domains from GoDaddy because it's cheaper and I like their domain management tools.

I usually purchase web hosting from HostGator because they are very reliable.

    Same for me to.

Register the domain name at GoDaddy and Host the site at HostGator.

Absolutely right. Never buy a domain from your hosting company.

And vice versa; there are very few registrars who offer really good hosting.

Yes, buy domains from Godaddy then host on hostgator. But do not get those buy hosting here and they give you free domain, etc cause if you leave host later they still own domain.

Also hostgator support is great, which is most important when choosing hosting.

I also agree with that, some hosting companys even offer free domain names and I never take them up on their offer of the Free Domain Name. Not worth the risk.

The only thing to consider with Hostgator is if you are planning on having a lot of pages on your site. They are very strict with 250,000 limit, unless you go dedicated.

That is obviously not a problem for most affiliates, but something to consider if you are planning to have more than 250,000 pages on your site.

The only problem I have with Hostgator is that they have been saying they will offer windows shared hosting soon, its been almost a years now!!! I what you try them out since most people like them.

Why not buy your domain right here through the ABW domains service? I have all my domains registered through abestweb.com/domains.

I definitely would host through a separate company, however. (I have a VPS from KnownHost. Had a shared hosting plan with Hostgator years ago and they were okay, too.)

Hey Haiko ... what's the costs for a domain and such? Can you post the link?

Do you have an affiliate program for it?

Don't know why Haiko hasn't responded, and I don't know anything about whether or not he has an affiliate program.

But the link is pretty straightforward, and USED to be posted at the top of the ABW forum pages, I thought -- though I don't see it there.
