CJ Encrypt or hide Links Doesn't Work
Has anyone found that choosing to encrypt or hide links within the links html code doesn't work anymore and that your PID and AID will still be displayed?

Actually what I've just found is that it's only with certain merchants like Petco and Reebok. so My next question is, do certain merchants block or disable the encrypt functionality or is CJ messed up?

My advice is check each merchant when choosing your links to see if the encrypt functionality is working within the html code.

    Bibby,

I haven't had any problems with click thrus on encrypted links. However, I don't think didn't track the sales correctly. I'd say if you don't have to use them, don't. Find another method of cloaking your link.

What's the logic behind hiding your PID in the link, anyway?

I didn't like my PID sitting out there for others to see? For goofs? I'm a newbie? =)

not much gain in encrypting your links. Probably a waste of time...

If you are a newbie stop the diversions and focus on the task at hand, there is enough stuff to deal with, without adding encrypted links...get real ;-)

False. They redirect when they see someone hit a merchant's site, and don't work by modifying a PID, at least not that I've seen in the past 3 years or so.
