There are two parts to directlinking.
    1. The merchant you are promoting must allow you to use their url in ppc ads.
    2. If the merchant allows it, you can create ads in ad network with the merchants url as the display url and your affiliate link as the ad url.

Then the problem, a big one - All search engines will only allow one ad per page for a single display url. So if you are direct linking, then you are competing with the merchant as well as all other affiliates promoting the same merchant and doing direct linking for a chance to display your ad. So you ppc bid must be high enough to outbid all those. Most of the times, the merchant won't allow you to outbid them.

Then direct linking doesn't build any value for yourself, but that's another post.

You aren't allowed to redirect, Google is very clear on that.

And as noted, be sure your merchants allow it!

And as noted, you aren't building any value to your merchant or to yourself if you direct link, you are better off building a landing page and using your PPC to direct traffic to your own site.

Google shows only one ad of the same advertiser per page. So, you will end up paying lot more. Also, most of the advertisers don't allow you to use their site URL as display URL. I would rather use a landing page. Build a landing page with good content and you will get low CPC for your keywords.
