Yes, pick something that you are interested in so that you will be motivated to update your site.

If you are looking for an affiliate niche, also think of ways that your information could be useful to visitors so that they will be inclined to:
    • Become a repeat visitor and visit your site regularly
    • Follow an affiliate link on your site that will lead to a purchase

Well I am new to the business. So I am being pulled in every which way. Free Traffic, leads , CPA, SEO, all over. I am not really puling in nothing. I think being in all that has back fired. not really cornering anything specific. I have been reading a lot and 80-95% of people say stick to one thing and after you have a consistent flow of income, then take on another area of IM. I did it backwards. So I am starting from scratch. I am just glad I only invested about $100 max, so that's ok.

Another way to find a niche is to try to "ride the wave" of the trends with Google Trends:

Best rule of thumb is something you enjoy...

If it's an enjoyable topic you won't lose interest - affiliate marketing can be quite tedious (lots of ups & downs), best to try to make it as fun as possible.

Also, if you like the topic, you will publish more!

    1. The niche is something you have interest or expertise.
    2. The niche is in demand. (Lots of potential traffic)
    3. The niche is potentially profitable. (Associated with lots of products of value and visitors will readily buy via your affiliate links or at least check out those products via your contextual ads) Some niches can be duds this way.

Wecome to the myriad of niche maketing online. As teezone pointed out. It's finding a niche you have an interest in and seeing if you can create a niche based on the research you've done. Researching niche markets is very impotant as it gives you confidence in producing good content on a niche artea your interested in. Hope this helps.
