Came upon something odd tonight - maybe it's just odd to me and y'all have seen it before.

I was in the hospital this week getting a Thyroid tumour removed. The proceedure it self went well but I had serious complications on the operating table. Seems I have a condition called "Malignant Hyperthermia" that is the leading cause of death during operations. No..I had no clue.

SO, after a rocky recovery period - being the geek I am - I get home and look it up online. We all do things like this, right? This is where my question arises

I'm getting a whole pile of Kanoodle results that state "We're Sorry...
The advertiser you clicked on has requested not to receive any visits from users outside of the United States. Click Here to return to your search results"

Anyone run across this before? Ok, so I can see how it might be useful to some people with shops and stuff that only deal with people in the U.S. but I'm a little annoyed as I was only looking for medical information. Does anyone here use this - the disallowing of visitors to click on your paid link if not from specified countries?

I hate sigs that waste space.

I think your having browser problems or firewall issues

This site is in china but I am having no problem with it.

I hope all goes well with your recovery!

Sorry to hear you've been in the repair shop

    You were using Kanoodle? Seriously?

I can't see that anybody would be bidding on that exact term though. I had a look at the Overture bids and there was zip. I'm just getting Inktomi results at Kanoodle too.

    I wasn't actually using Kanoodle.

Here's the page I was on: Medical Website

The first link goes to a Kanoodle error page that states they don't want viewers out of the states clicking on the link.

Very bizarre. Maybe someone else on a non-us computer could check it out too so I know it's just not me and heavy post op drugs

I get the same thing for number 4.

What a horrible site.. it's all just affiliate PPC links embedded in other affiliate PPC links. I saw a few interesting sites at Yahoo and the ODP btw.

Yeah, I quickly gave up on that site and found something else.

But it was the first time I'd seen clicks refused like that - didn't know it was done.

It isn't browser problems. Kanoodle have been offering this for a long while, except that you have to phone them up and speak to your account rep to get it done. I managed a PPC campaign for an online casino and threatened to pull the entire campaign at Kanoodle (shoddy traffic). The account rep turned this feature on and whaddya know - shoddy traffic but only from the USA. Needless to say Kanoodle is long since gone from this campaign.
