I've been using Hitbox for seveal years now. I went to log in tonight to check my stats and its totaly different and no place to log into. Have they gone to the pay only version now? No warning or nothing? Can anyone else get to their stats, if so can I have a link? Thanks

There was a month of warnings. Told me in late november that Dec 31 2003 was the last day of stat keeping.

    ojmoo,

Nothing in my email box. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever recieved an email in the time I used them. Could be the email I signed up with way back is no longer in existance. Thanks for the info

    Heyder,

Cool, can I get some stats on the ages of my female visitors, whether they are single or not, job occupation and income would be a plus, Ummmmmmm, give me some more time and I'll come up with some more ideas on the stats that really matter. Who cares about browser, country, page views and so on Seriously though if ya have something let me know

It was a matter of time b4 they pulled it. Firtsat they pulled yep, then the ranking then finally hitbox. Can't blame them, they deserve to make a few dollars. Of course the price they want for continuation is way to expensive. For things like this I know I'm paying $7 a month for my website, I won't pay more for stats made easy.

Hitbox had its problem. i.e. what I hated was that if someone came in through a search engine to one of the interior pages, it didn't capture the visitors stats, what was clicked, what search engine used etc.

I used to have to check my stats for that type of info anyway. But with that said, I did check my hitbox stats several times a day.

Thats what I liked about Hitbox, was being able to do a quik check on all my websites all at once. Jeeeze I miss it already I do get good stats from my host though. It just takes alot longer to check em out individually but the stats are better. Guess I'll have to live with it.

You may want to check out AXS - http://install.xav.com/index.cgi

That way you install the stats package on your own server (it's free by the way), and get stcks of useful info.

There is also an automatic installer if you are not comfortable with cgi programs.

If you are looking for a free stat tracking site, you can go to:
    Addfreestats.com

You can set it up to track all of your pages.

Hi Everyone, LukeJe your right on the money AddFreeStats is very good, we use it for our ISP company ( BBUSA.Net) to establish a clearer view on our market and structure a marketing campaign around it using the stats we discover.

    Thanks and take care everyone...
