I know the internet is evolving into more of an ecommerce medium but when I go to wordtracker to get the latest top searches most of them are in the area of porn!

I guess the pervs have found themselves a home.

Dont feel bad. There are a lot of searches for porn but there are so many competing for the traffic.

So far I have been using the free services on Wordtracker to get basic reports. Can anyone advise... is it worth the money to join?

    Thanks!

Hmmm, maybe I should join, too. I relied on overture search terms until now.
What is the main difference between Overture's and wordtracker's reports?

Dittos to what Trust said: Use the porn filter, and yes it's worth the money.

The paid version has the important reports--what people are searching for in Google! Google doesn't just get more searches, it gets searches for more keywords and keyphrases than the others, too. So if you're just looking at a report for AltaVista you're missing a lot of possibilities as to what words to target.

Accuracy (Wordtracker's more accurate), plus Overture's report doesn't have the results for SEs that don't use their listings. With WordTracker, you can get a report for any SE that's worth a darn and a few that aren't--broken down by engine.

So, everybody that views porn is a perv?

That means that 90% of the Male population and probably 50% of the female population are perverts.

Damn, that's a lot of people! Hummmmmmm

One limitation with Overture is that it only returns 100 results/term.

How many does wordtracker return ?

Thousands. It's only limited by how deep you want to dig.
