What's with the new Gmail Autopilot?
I prefer to read/scan my e-mail at my own pace.
Email will never be a thing of the past, but actually reading and writing messages is about to be. Gmail Autopilot automatically manages your inbox better than you can, with zero effort from you.

I find the idea of Gmail Autopilot [related to the "Eliza program" see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA ] annoying. Will this system of automatic responses really occur or is it an April Fool's joke?
I wouldn't want my e-mails to sound like Eliza responses.
This has to be a joke:

I have been running gmail in autopilot all day. It's already scheduled 5 meetings with Nigerian dignitaries for me, so it seems to be working pretty smoothly.Eric Tyler

It's working perfect from here too. Infact this post wast sent from gmail as I calibrated it according to CADIE.
You may want to log in every week or so to ensure Autopilot is calibrated optimally.

Michael tried Gmail Autopilot this morning, and he's been quite happy with the results. He even got invited to use a beta version that reads and posts on forums.
