Amazing what reach you can get by drive-by hidden installs.

    Mike & Charlie ...

If they won't adopt and feed a bird ..flip them one! BBQ some Gator and remember to flush WhenU..

They also gave a lot of money to affiliates - per download etc....
They contacted me twice - the offer was for 25 cents per unique download. I never bothered to reply them. But I guess many affiliates put money before ethics

A lot of them just don't realise.

By the time someone tells them that after that 25c, they'll never make a nickle off anyone who has downloaded Gator (sorry "Claria"), they've already helped infect scores of computers and affiliates can kiss all those commissions goodbye. :^(

Doh, someone ought to give those dumbos a knock on the head.

Maybe informed AMs could drop their affiliates an educational email as to what their 25 cents earnings cost them in the long run.

Parasites are thieves. What are you going to do about it?

    That's quite a good idea.

They'd have a great database of affiliate email addresses and could get the word out quite easily.

They don't even need to mention specific products (no liability that way) just warn that if you're offered money to provide downloads, you're invariably giving away ALL your future commissions from that surfer.

They need to take the long-term view. Not the "make money fast" option.
