on 11/28/02, I received this email CJ on behalf of Import Parts Bin:
Dear Import Parts Bin Publisher,
You are receiving this message because Import Parts Bin has changed their cookie duration. This change will go into effect on 12/5/02.
The cookie duration is the length of time a cookie remains active in a browser. The cookie allows us to
track publisher commissions. We allow our Advertisers to set their own cookie duration.
The former Cookie Duration was 45 days.
The new Cookie Duration will be 21 days.
If you have any questions, please contact the advertiser directly.
I replied asking them why they're lowering it and mentioned that it's a bad sign...
Here is their response from 12/02/02:
Our commission rate and cookie duration is the highest of any auto parts sites.
This is a bold-faced lie! I replied to this last email and have yet to receive a response...I doubt I will either. They're 'bout to be dropped!
I also can't believe they okay with giving a one line response like that...how unprofessional!

I don't know if it is due to the 45 day cookie, but I can say that IPB converts better for me than any other auto parts store. We'll see if that changes, but for now I'm happy that its 21 days instead of only 3!
