Sad day for Phillies fans :(
In Philadelphia it's hard to think of the Phillies without thinkin of Harry but am not sure if all the rest of ya know who he is or not. I know he's been the voice of quite a bit of NFL stuff.

He will always be remembered here I think for "and that ball's outta heeeeeeere" and I always just thought he was a very, very nice man He will definitely be very missed by sports fans in Philly.

    Harry Kalas

Am not sure what caused his death but know he had some heart problems. He was at the stadium in Washington preparing for the game.

Incredible, incredible announcer. He and Vince Scully from LAD are among the best ever. RIP.

Though I was able to hear him infrequently, Harry was a quality, exciting announcer, and did seem like a great guy as well.

Having listened to Vin for 51 years now, I know what such an institution means to the team and to the city. There are fewer and fewer quality announcers and quality people such as Vin, Harry, Chick Hearn, and Jack Buck around, and the generations that have followed them may have the talent but they lack the dedication and loyalty to build their careers as part of a single team.

It will be awfully tough to fill his shoes.

He will be missed! MLB is not the same without him.
