To Do or Not To Do: Repeat Customer Commissions

Many loyalty sites offer cashback and other incentives to keep their customers coming back and likewise, AMs need to pay them for repeat orders if they are to partner with these loyalty sites. I'm just wondering what sort of compensation schemes are common when it comes to rewarding for returning customers for example 20% new orders, 5% repeat order. I would love to hear the opinions and thoughts of any AMs who have created successful compensation programs for loyalty sites and what factors they considered factoring into the program.
This one has got me thinking!
