    Setting up on SAS
How do you set up tracking on SAS if you don't have a shopping cart? For example if you have an AP with different products that can't be purchase from a shopping cart. Would you have to set up an account for each product you are promoting?

    Regards,

All of are products are not on a shopping cart. Is there a way to get setup on SAS without having a shopping cart?

How do your customers buy your products then?

I don't know what you mean by an "AP."

I assume that you have sites or pages that each offer a single product, which is only purchased in quantity one.

It does not matter whether you have a shopping cart or not.

The key is to be able to insert the ShareASale tracking code on the "order confirmation" or "thank you" page that comes up after a purchase is made, AND to insure that the tracking code reflects the correct dollar amount of the order (unless you're paying a fixed amount per-sale).

It's critically important that there be no sequence in which a customer can place an order without triggering the ShareASale tracking code. This can be tricky if you use some third-party payment solutions (PayPal, Google Checkout, Amazon Payments), as there is no guarantee that the customer will "click back" from the destination site to your site to trigger the code.

You have to be able to have a tracking pixel added to a confirmation page of some sort. If you are doing a leads program, it would be the confirmation for the signup. If you are doing a sales program, there is someplace that your customers go to give payment information and the tracking goes on that confirmation page.

If you have a special circumstance that isn't covered in the Shareasale help in the tracking set up documentation I am sure you can call and speak to someone there to find out if what you are trying to do is possible.

Thanks, Loxly! That is correct, you would need to have an order confirmation page at some point during the transaction process in order for tracking to work. If you'd like to discuss specifics with our tech team, no problem! Just send an email, and include your phone number, to shareasale (at) shareasale.com.

We do have an order confirmation page on each product but no shopping cart where you can purchase more than one product. Would this mean I have to setup an account for each product and add tracking pixel to each confirmation page of each product?

Nope, you can have one account, but have the same pixel code on the order confirmation page for each product.
