    Which AD Networks?
One thing that I noticed while attending Ad Tech 09 in SF Today was that not one network was able to tell me why they differ from the next. My company is looking to work with Lead Generation (CPA) networks. Why would I choose to work with Linkshare or Epic Ads vs. Value Click? As an advertiser what should you look for to insure a high quality network while still obtaining a low cost factor? There were at least 50 or more networks and they all claim the same thing.

Every network claims the same things, exclusives and highest payouts to affiliates and the pitch to advertisers is "pay only for performance". Those are the things that draws someone in.

I can tell you that EVERYONE will promise you incredible results, so look for someone who can give you a good referral and steer clear of those who promise you everything to get you to sign.

The truth is that sometimes it can take a very loooooong time to make a campaign work, and sometimes it can be instant. It totally depends on how much "mass appeal" your product/service has. Yes, landing pages and how you handle your leads play a major role, but if there isn't a solid product/service to be sold, it's really tough and you encounter gimmicks to try to get it done.

also, I forgot to mention that you are talking about 2 different network models in your post.

In your title, you mention ad networks. Ad networks usually charge advertisers on a cpm or cpc.

CPA & Affiliate networks are on a pay per lead or sale model.

    Hi LRG,

It is best to work with a few, at least initially, after you gain some experience you will see the difference. Those that are right for your niche , those that you just like. Those that send you traffic that converts, and those that send you traffic that does not convert.
