"Improved handling of extensions - small, easy to download applications that can be installed with a few simple mouse clicks and extend the browser’s functionality. Community members have created more than 200 such extensions, including add-ons that remove ad banners, add spell-checker functionality, and add the ability to search, eBay or other popular sites from the Firefox toolbar"

I don't like the sound of that.

These add-ins are completely optional, and do NOT come with the product when you download it.

To turn these options on, you have to manually download each extension (though easy to do so, it's something you have to consciously think about and takes many steps). Think of the Google IE toolbar, the steps to install the above softwares in Mozilla are similar to the steps to install Google IE toolbar in IE.

It's a vast improvement over MS IE which has more ways to download spyware to your computer than just about anything else out there.

I've been using Mozilla Firebird -- now Firefox -- as my main browser for almost a year now.

It's incredibly fast, smooth, and has options you can get via the "Tabbrowser Extension" to open all web sites in separate "tabs." Extremely useful. You simply click back and forth between tabs. No more sorting separate windws, etc., when you want to browse and keep web sites open.

    Highly recommend Firefox.
