    Magazine subscription
    Hi,

I was wondering if the magazine subscription still is doing good?
I am thinking about becoming an authorized magazine dealer.

I have done some reading here, but not sure what to make of it

So any input would be great.

    Thank you in advance

I think the field is overly saturated to say the least. And many unscrupulous players in it. Ebay closed its doors on all magazine dealers last year.

    Thank you for your input
Let's say that I wanted to be serious about it.

Does it actually sell on the net?
What do you mean by: "And many unscrupulous players in it." Do they not deliver, or what seems to be the problem?

Serious or not, honest or not, you will still have to compete with all the players...too many of them... How do you differentiate yourself from the million others in a saturated field. Some position themselves as ultra low price dealers with too many gotchas for the customer. Some are higher priced but offer better service. And some simply take the orders and don't deliver.

I moved this to the "Becoming a Merchant" forum, since you are asking in general and not specifically to the network you originally posted in.

Ditto.. magazine niche is a tough one.

    Sorry about the wrong forum

I know that the magazine competition field is full of competition, which is OK.
I was just wondering how much sale it could generate, if promoted well.

I also think about starting a perfume and lingerie store as I think they could go well "hand in hand" maybe with the magazines abit on a sidetrack

Any information about perfume and lingerie would be very welcome.
