or something like that.. I've seen it mentioned in a few threads but not sure exactly what it is used for.
I've just been using links given by the link generators on each network or independent.

Some parasites claim they won't knowingly overwrite affiliate links. They can spot links from the main networks because they know what they look like, but if you use any kind of link redirector, tracker that might disguise those links, you should add &afsrc=1 to the end of the link to mark it as an affiliate link.
Regarding independents, I tend to add it to their links also as I've no way of knowing which links are easily identified by parasites and which aren't.
