    'no-smiles' policy
    "Neutral facial expressions" are required at departments of motor vehicles (DMVs) in Arkansas, Indiana, Nevada and Virginia. That means you can't smile, or smile very much. Other states may follow.

    That has been a requirement for anything official in Japan for some time. People are actually required to put their photo on resume and smiling is a no no. Showing teeth is traditionally considered rude over there... but it's changing with Western influence.

    I remember when they passed this in Indiana. I didn't read the attachment, but I remember at the time them saying it was because they couldn't use their facial recognition software if people smiled. I'm thinking that if that is all the better facial recognition software they have, it's going to be pretty darn easy to trick it.

    no one smiles here for identification of any kind, so it would be business as usual.

    I just went to re-new my license earlier this month (Louisiana), and they tell everyone to smile.

    Washington has the no smile rule-at least for the enhanced license
    No problem....after I paid for car and drivers licenses I wasn't smiling anyway.

    LOL I always SMILE in mine if they ever asked me not to smile i won't i will just stick out my tounge or crinkle my nose and cross my eyes...
