Venting Posts - Ever start them and don't finish ???
I start a lot of well thought out and intelligent posts that help me vent the " Problem of the minute " and then decide that after I have typed my thoughts into the thread, that I just don't need to share anymore.

So I hit the back button and go on with my business.

I think that it might be GOOD therapy to write down your thoughts and get it out in the open.

May not be necessary to let the world that you are a nut case.

Ever start a thread and back out?

I do this often with emails, usually at work when replying to some of those frustrating requests. I type the mail in the heat of the moment but have learned to save to draft and revisit them later in the shift when I am more calm. Before I learned to do this I would send the emails and regret it afterwards, and usually end up in some form of confrontation.

I tend to go ahead and post the ones that might be better left unposted. LOL - Makes for some fun conversation, however and sometimes a solution to the issue is found by sharing our frustrations.

And then there are the times I stop and think: OMG - I said that OUT LOUD!
    Peace,

Yeah, me too. Just this morning I started one referring to a GSI thread about "non-answers." I actually had a related story to tell, but then figured, "Why bother?" Unfortunately, I get those feelings more often lately.

Yikes! Me too! (Although I finished my reply to that thread.)

I'm finding myself even getting "why bother?" feelings about a LOT of the stuff I've been doing online -- blogging, marketing, etc.

Instead of "Why bother?" I often find myself saying "Let it go." I'm finally trying to resist getting so worked up over many things.

"Why bother?" That sounds like a vacation is needed!! Time off always helps restore the fire.

Yep, I've done it countless times!

It usually starts out with great intentions to help someone, then I find myself deleting some parts of it, rewording, etc. Then I end up just backing out and not even worrying about it.

Likewise. The Internet is wonderful because of the immediacy of contact but it is also dangerous because we have the ability to mouth off before we cool down. As an old teacher of mine used to say "you've lost you chance to remain silent".
