I want to improve my SAS datafeed download
Right now I have a batch file to accomplish my SAS datafeed downloading; it is on the form ---

    wget -c -nv -T30 -N ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@datafeeds.sh...0905/10905.zip
    wget -c -nv -T30 -N ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@datafeeds.sh...1664/11664.zip
    ...

I would like to replace all of the hardcoded, individual folder/filename.zip combinations with
    some wildcard expression like ...

    wget .... sharesale.com/*/*.zip

    Any thoughts??

    Charles

Thank you for your suggestion, Login. I tried it and got some progress - their server connected with me using port :21 and .listing then it tried 'loging in as micheck ...' - after several seconds it terminated the connection with 'error in server response. closing control connection' - any other thoughts?

I would just store the name of each datafeed in a database and loop through each value getting one feed at a time. That way you can associate additional merchant details with each datafeed in your database for product imports.

    micheck, try adding
    --no-passive-ftp

But I would put everything in list.txt and retrieve the files with
    wget -i list.txt
