Made the most of a great voice.

It was a shame that in his last years, life so so painful for him, and so public.

While he was a jack-of-all-trades (announcer, pitchman, actor, singer, etc., etc.) at what he is most remembered for, talk-show 2d banana, he defined the job and was the best there ever was at doing it.

My favorite Ed McMahon joke (from Johnny Carson, probably in the 1970s):

"Ed's not here tonight, he's at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, awaiting the birth of his next wife."

Actually, one of the funniest one liners I ever saw him do was one of the last ads he was in, that gold4cash superbowl ad where it cuts to him, and he says, "I sold my gold hip replacement!", lol, okay, maybe you had to be there, but I thought it was funny.

Good Ol' Boy Ed helped my niche tremendously when he sued his insurance company over black mold in his home several years ago.

He sure had the sue everybody and see what sticks to the wall mentallity down.

    He will be missed.

Ed was a class act, not impressed with the side kicks they have now.

Thanks for that Haiko. It's been a bit stressful this week and watching that clip and a couple others made me realize that sometimes we need to sit back and laugh. They were a great team, Johnny and Ed.
