    Michael Jackson Dies (updated title)
    http://www.tmz.com/

They say he wasn't breathing when they got to his home.

I don't know how to feel.

Just know it will be big news in the near future.

Fox and CNN have helicopters hovering over the UCLA Med Center and have not reported that he is dead.

    Just hospitalized.

If it's true I guess that makes it three. Was thinking about that when I heard about Farrah.

LA Times and NY Times are reporting that he is in a coma (per police sources).

LA Times updated the story - "[Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.]"

LA Fire Dept and TV News (KCAL 9) have confirmed he has died.

As an active UCLA Alum who has written a lot about transgressions - non-medical in nature - of the Medical Center (for decades rated third best in the US behind only Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic) I was disgusted to see security obsessed with Jackson, prohibiting free access to a public institution by students, faculty, and members of the public. Jackson deserved no greater care than any other person suffering similar medical problems.

Too young. No matter what happend to him or he did in recent years, he did have great music that most of us liked and remember. Sad, and with the others too McMahon and Farrah.

He "WAS" one great performer but the last 15-20 years of his life was a rollercoaster. I used to admire him and even played his arcade game (moonwalker). Then there was the multiple child molestation case, showing his kids over the balcony, abundant of surgery and not to mention the PJ in court which puzzles me as to what would lead a successful adult do all those things. To a good ex-performer

I was just reading AffiliateHounds post, and while I generally agree no one deserves more than anyone else when it comes to medical care. I think any increase in security is likely well intentioned to protect other patients. I'm sure anything and everything to do with Michael will be under siege by fans for some time to come.

One of the greatest men of modern times has died.

If there is a Heaven, and I know there is, few people deserve to be their more than Michael Jackson.

I am sure Michael is there now, being rewarded for all the good he did on Earth.

Michael is at home. At rest and at peace. He has a new mansion now. He will be missed, but he is in a far better place.

RIP Michael. Thriller was the second vinyl LP I bought.

I can't believe two of the other rumors circulating right now about other celeb deaths. This could be one of the darkest days in entertainment history, should they prove accurate.

Not mentioning names here, because they are VERY unsubstantiated at this point.

Yup, those were hoaxes. Some people are sick. Like the people that will be spamming the trending topics with porn links now also.

RIP to Ed, Farrah and Michael.

Everyone should remember him for his music, and not for his personal life.

The greatest musical genius of all time. Nobody comes close. Nobody ever will.
