July 13th, 2009, 01:25 PM #1How about a parody/satire section?
There are several "off topic" sections in this awesome forum. From "Daily Chuckle" to Dieting Help. I was curious about something.
What about a section in the forum for parody/satire?
Since I "bombed" with a certain post I wrote over the weekend and offended some members, I got to thinking (which usually gets me in trouble) about a parody/satire section.
I realize often parody/satire are of a political or religious nature which is forbidden in the forum. However, since it would be in parody/satire form, it really wouldn't be political or religious in nature. Well, except in the eyes of the beholder.
I just think it would be a fun way for the more creative members to express their creativity. There are benefits.
1. Some of the post may give other affiliates or merchants ideas. Ideas that could change affiliate marketing forever.
2. Some of the post may give other affiliates ideas for content on their sites.
3. I think I better hush. I am coming across as pushy and arrogant as usual.
Its just we as affiliates are always looking for fresh, new content to help drive traffic.
This was only a suggestion. Sorry, if I offended anyone or if I am coming across as pushy or arrogant.
But, if you have an apple and I have an apple...
And you give me your apple. I now have two apples, but you have no apples.
However, if you have an idea and I have an idea...
And you share your idea with me and I share my idea with you, now we both have two ideas.
Please don't be mad at me for bringing up this suggestion.
If you are mad at me about it, just please don't call me a fluffy headed idiot with no imagination.
Just forget I brought it up.

Why wouldn't that fit in the Daily Chuckle? I think we have plenty of sub-forums already.

If the term "fluffy headed" is used I'd like a commission, royalty or some other form of compensation (that does not make me a nexus)
Personally I can see where the political/religious parody types of posts would just cause too many problems for the moderators, someone is always getting offended, or will argue thier points to the best of thier ability & that really is not the point here. (even though I thought the Dutch cartoons from a few years ago were funny... I'm not going to put them on my site... ). People are just too invested in their beliefs, and even good natured teasing can be someone’s hot button issue.

I am starting to get the idea most of you don't like me. LOL! I think we are in a recession cause folk have gotten way to serious and life just ain't no fun anymore. Just my opinion. If I am am still entitled to one. LOL!
I'll take one of my parody/satire stories to 'Daily Chuckle'. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have the ability to argue a point without disiking someone... I have three brothers.. If someone was not hitting/yelling/making fun of someone else: our mom would get worried (In a crowd: silence is a warning)
