When I checked on the 7th, my quick stats for the 6th ended up okay-looking...but the ones for the 7th still seem to be missing quite a lot of action.

    Come on stats!

And come on CJ, just because it's still only 3:50 AM Pacific as I write this, is no excuse to for you to SLEEP! Wake up and turn on the Stats!

It would be so nice if they updated thier message to say stats would not be available during part of the day on the 8th. Really makes you wonder if everyone did not go home for the weekend at CJ when they can't change a simple message. Instead they'd rather we all be frustrated.

Sorry, but this seems to happen every time they do maintenance.

I guess CJ hasn't learned that you always tell people the worst case scenario; then when it takes less time, you're a hero!

CJ just needs to say they'll be down all weekend, then bring the system back up on Sunday afternoon instead of Monday morning.

They always seem to have problems with "updates".

I wonder why they never update the system that DOES track transactions...I don't recall ever hearing about that one being updated. Makes you wonder when/if they do update it...

That's because the tracking system is a no-brainer. It's not a complicated matter, just needs the bandwidth and server/database power to track and store the quantity of transactions being processed. So that system doesn't need changing, and resources can be added real-time without an outage.

The reporting system is a different matter - a massive database, complicated queries, and all that java and javascript code. Yeeeech. Nightmare. Especially when you start mucking about with DB fields.

    Patience, my son.

That would be too honest for CJ. Techies have been saying: "it's almost ready" for hours, changing that msg means that they are accepting they have problems one more time. They prefer to be blind on that, it's easier to think that nothing serious is happening.

Why change the msg? It's almost ready!

I'm asking myself if this has something to do with the fact that the Chief Technology Officer is the Co-Founder.

Stats are turned off so the reporting can catch up from the downtime. If we kept the reporting on, you would all be complaining that reporting was off and that tracking wasn't working. Plus, you would keep running reports because you are worried because the reporting hasn't caught up. This slows the whole system down. We found that it is best to keep reporting offline until it is current again.

It should get turned on very shortly. Twelve noon PST.
