    Okay, seriously. I feel like the guy in the video -- all my life I've been doing it awkwardly from the stem end. Never occurred to me to try the other end. After all, isn't that stem stub actually nature's banana pull-tab??

    So if you've got a banana that's not too ripe yet, you can also open it by gripping one end in each hand and snapping it in the middle with ninja-like quickness. That is my preferred method.

    Looks interesting. But I have to wonder why he's had that much trouble opening bananas to begin with. I've never had a problem.

    I just read this thread as I was eating a banana! Unfortunately, I now have no banana to test it on.

    U use a pen-knife, but then of course it gets covered in banana goo..

    Most of us have been peeling bananas from the stem all of our lives and don't want to be dumber than a monkey, so we're scrambling to the store for more bananas to test this on. -
