    Where in the world?
I haven't been around much lately, for several reasons, and I thought I'd catch up a little and let you all know what's been going on with me.

I've mentioned before that my dad had stage 4 prostate cancer. He'd been battling it since 1995. This spring it became apparent that he was too weak to undergo anymore chemo, which meant his days were numbered. He died a couple of weeks ago. I got to spend some time with him just before he died and while it was precious time spent, it was also terribly difficult.

I've also been sick almost constantly since Summer started. Nothing serious, but I've had a couple of colds and a couple of bad sinus infections, too. So all in all, it's been a hugely sucky summer and I wasn't feeling terribly sociable. But I thought I'd explain my absence, since I've been hanging out on ABW now for years, and didn't want anyone to think I'd given up on you guys or affiliate marketing.

I'll be at ASE09 with Mellie on behalf of Affiliate Voice and hope to have a chance to visit with some of my ABW friends while there.

Sorry about your dad. It is really hard dealing with cancer when you know it is not curable. Been there, done that. My heart goes out to you.

My condolences to you and your family. Really sorry about him passing and glad you spent some time with him before he passed on.

My dad passed on 12 years ago suddenly by going into a coma. He was healthy and had no sickness or diseases. Just bam, gone. Wish we at least had a chance to say good bye.

Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon. You have probably been too busy taking care of others so now is the time to rest and take care of yourself.

    Rhea,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad and about you having to battle sickness. I'm glad you posted to let us know.

There is a sunnier side. Your Dad is no longer in pain, and your health will improve; I just know it. Rest, relax and take time to reflect.

Life's trials and tribulations can suck, to put it bluntly. Yet we all pick up, heal, move on, live again, etc. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I'm a great listener should you need someone.

Real sorry to hear about your father, and condolences to you and your family. My father passed away earlier this year, so I know exactly what you have been going through. For me, his funeral was very cathartic, sharing memories of the good times with family and friends, and helping to relieve months of anxiety and stress.

It helps to focus on that and the fact that he is no longer in pain.

Hope you feel much better, soon.

    Rhea,

You and I have also have not met but I'm really sorry for you loss, I experienced the same thing with my father back in the begging of 2006 and all I can say is time heals all wounds my friend... The memories you have are always yours to charish.
