Is it my imagination or are more and more of SAS' top merchants leaving lately?

    4Checks, Hocks, CelebrateExpress for example.

Maybe its because we promoted a couple of those heavily. But just curious about what's going on.

    Ideas?

4Checks left to let parasites in (see http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...hlight=4checks).

Celebrate Express was purchased by Buy Costumes and their affiliate program is now on CJ.

As for Hocks, I suggest you read http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...ighlight=Hocks - and search here for affiliatebot and i think we all know about PJN.

How can one tell if a network or site is a parasite? And what exactly does it mean to be parasiteware? Thanks for the help.

    buster71,

ParasiteWare™ - is technology (including, but not restricted to, browser helpers, browser plug-ins, toolbars and pop ups/sliders) that knowingly or unknowingly undermines or removes another affiliate's ability to compete by changing, intercepting or redirecting an affiliate link. Parasiteware™ may be installed knowingly or unknowingly by the end user, altering their normal web browser functions and/or installing a third party application that works through the user's altered browser.

    Howard,

We are definitely sad to see them go - sometimes it is a matter of circumstance such as acquisition, change of marketing goals, or just a change of scenery. All three of the above mentioned programs were a pleasure to have on ShareASale and I expect them to do very well in the future in their new homes.

The good news for us along the way is that we've also picked up quite a few new merchants in the same timeframe. I can't mention them all (300 total in the last 3 months alone) - but just a quick scan of the "PowerRank" list for programs starting less than a year ago and I came up with ...

Viator, Chiasso, Poolcenter, KEEN, Wysong, CampusBookRentals and quite a few more. We're doing our best to show those folks and everyone else that they are in the right place.
    Thanks,

Lot's of promising new merchants on SAS ... Now if Brian would only FIX how to search for them and get rid of the deadones in the Account Summary it would be very good.

Viator is VERY pleased to have moved from CJ *TO* Shareasale. Some of the Shareasale tools (better datafeed, deals database to name two) are making it much easier for affiliates to add tours to all kinds of websites, not just those focused specifically on travel.

    Glad to hear it Brian.

Seems like we'd get rolling with an SAS merchant and off they go. But we have quite a bit works with some of your merchants that we are excited to be launching in the next couple of days.

Just hope they stay there : )

I even heard many merchants using Fusionquest may join Shareasale in the next few days. It includes the Affiliate Summit Affiliate Program.
