Shopper's ID, how is it used?
    Hi,

I was reading the Linkshare integration guide and they say that the Merchant needs to create some kind of Shopper's ID but I am not sure how this is created or used. Can someone please explain to me:

    1. Is the shopper ID supposed to identify the shopper (uniquely) for one session or for "return" shopping too?

    2. How is this shopper id created to identify the shoper (uniquely?) . Is it based on the IP address of the shopper's machine?

    3. Is the Merchant supposed to report this shopper id together with all the other variables associated with a transaction? I didn't see this shopper id listed in the list of "variables" that a Merchant has to report to Linshare.

    thank you!

I am neither, I just want to know how the shopper's id is used by Linshare.
